We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality reviews for its HUD Mortgagee Compliance Manager contract. This position will help ensure case decisions, supporting documentation, calculations, and deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with contract requirements and applicable HUD guidance.

The ideal candidate brings mortgage servicing or FHA claims experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify errors, explain findings, and drive lasting improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the contract’s quality control program, review schedules, checklists, and reporting.
  • Conduct and oversee quality reviews across FHA claims, overallowables, extensions, conveyance activities, ownership documentation, and administrative remedies.
  • Verify case decisions, calculations, supporting records, system entries, and case notes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform reviews of completed work and targeted reviews of complex or higher-risk cases.
  • Track errors, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements to procedures and training.
  • Document findings clearly and provide actionable feedback to supervisors and staff.
  • Coordinate corrective action plans, track completion, and verify that corrections resolve the underlying issue.
  • Review HUD quality findings and support evidence-based responses and rebuttals when appropriate.
  • Prepare quality dashboards and reports showing review results, error trends, and corrective action progress.
  • Maintain organized review records and support government audits and performance reviews.
  • Work with the Contract Manager and department supervisors to improve quality while meeting deadlines.
  • Promote consistent review standards and escalate unresolved compliance concerns.

Qualifications:
  • At least three years of relevant quality control, mortgage servicing, FHA claims, compliance, or auditing experience.
  • Prior supervisory or quality program leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FHA mortgage servicing, claims, and HUD requirements.
  • Ability to interpret contract requirements, procedural guidance, and supporting case documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to financial calculations and document accuracy.
  • Experience identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to deliver clear, constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tracking, reporting, and analyzing quality results.
  • Experience with Yardi P260 and FHA Connection preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
